Anti-spark connectors works by creating a gradual connection between the male and female pins thus preventing a sudden surge in current that will result in a intense spark. The spark itself isn't bad but it may melt the plastic housing of normal connectors. 

Comes in 2 versions: Non-antispark (up to 60A) and antispark (up to 90A)
